A blank screen, and a strange sound...
"drip... drip"
Someone switches on the light, to show water dripping from a tap into a cup, balanced on a set of scales. On the other side of the set of scales is a lit candle, and a stretch of string above. As the water drips down into the cup, it slowly raises the candle on the other side.
"This is all it takes... a few splashes of water, or maybe a few splashes of ink, on a contract... and it can change everything. Wrestling today is like a cord that's pulled too tight. It needs change, it needs new faces... new blood. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of respect for all of the people here... but I doubt the feeling's mutual.
So much in wrestling today is based around whether people can talk better... or cut better promos than their opponents. Well, that's all important- but it means nothing when you stand in the ring with me, face to face and knowing you have to back your words up with your fists..."
The candle has risen far enough to begin burning through the rope. The screen pans, to show the rope connected to a lever, and holding it in position. As soon as the rope snaps, the lever flips to the other position, and an engine can be heard. The screen cuts again, showing a crane extending, and lifting a heavy chain with a big metal ball on the end.
The Human Wreckingball himself is sitting at the controls of the crane, moving the metal ball into place opposite a large, crumbling building. Wreckingball is wearing a black, battered "Download 2004" t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off, heavy jeans and boots. He turns to the camera and grins, before pulling a lever to pull the metal ball back...
"I guess I'm here because I'm always looking for new challenges, new people to fight, new things to do... I'm here because I want to entertain all those people in the arenas, I owe it to them. I'm never gonna stop wrestling, I owe it to all of the fans, I owe it to my friends who've supported me, and I owe it to my opponents. So, I guess I'll see you all out there."
Wreckingball releases the huge metal ball, and moments later it slams into the side of the building, collapsing it and sending up a huge cloud of dust that fills the screen...
End.
